Militec, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has just filled a sizable Foreign Military Sale (FMS) for MILITEC-1 Synthetic Metal Conditioner for the Naval and Marine Forces of the Republic of Colombia. MILITEC-1 will be used in the engines and on the armament of several hundred-river patrol craft assigned to drug and counter-guerilla operations.

Powered by twin 250-HP outboard motors, the patrol craft carry two heavy .50 caliber machine guns and a crew of three officers and twelve Marines. During the past three months, while operating deep in the jungle on rivers such as the Orinoco, Guaviare, Guiania, and Putumayo, these patrol craft have been responsible for some 600 counter-guerilla actions.

Especially noteworthy is the fact that the Colombian Naval and Marine Forces will be taking full advantage of MILITEC-1's unique versatility as a lubricant. Not only will the engines and ancillary equipment use MILITEC-1, but it will also be applied to the deck guns and the small arms carried by the Marines. Since 1995, MILITEC-1 has been thoroughly tested and used by U.S. and Columbian Forces in hot, humid jungle environments, and has proven to ensure constant lubrication of all weaponry operating in one-hundred percent (100%) humidity without chronic rusting.
